Vol II: Summer 2024 - Southwest Zephyr Dreams
(July 22-26) - A Vintage postcard just calling you to a summer retreat to the ocean and sand.
I love the look and feel of classic vintage travel postcards and posters. The artists would have to be so creative to capture the feeling of a place with just a few lines and colors. Showing off the new capability of the new plane technology, a modern zephyr. Romantic and fantastic.
So for this summer edition, I wanted to recreate the feeling of half poster to get you to the island and half postcard you would send back air-mail from the island. Chat-GPT here, so lots of squiggly lines and fun colors.
So much like the previous tape, Volume I, I used our core values to generate some song titles. But then I took those titles and generated music for each title. It was a lot of fun and you can still listen to the madness on the player website I made for it. Even published it on Spotify and other streaming services. My Kids love the main title but "Moonlight Margaritas" is a sleeper hit and "The Maestro's Metronome" is an ode to the days it rains on your vacation. Not every day can be a picnic.
It was a fun experiment, I love lofi so that was a big mix. But wanted to imagine what the island resort would be playing on your vacation or what you would be listening on the beach while you would tan.
